American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring TX or compact RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

- Work in the ICU with potential to float to Progressive Care and Medical Surgical units \n
- Patient ratio of 1:2 \n
- Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00-7:00 \n
- 48 hours per week preferred, will consider alternating 36/48 hour schedules \n
- Epic charting system experience required \n
- \n
- Active TX or compact RN license required, in-hand at time of consideration \n
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required \n
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS \n
- PALS or ENPC required within 1 year of start date \n
- PALS and TNCC preferred \n
- Prior travel nursing experience required \n
- Proficiency in critical care skills including IV therapy, central/arterial line management, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, cardiac drip titration, and management of dysrhythmias \n
- Experience with neurological care including CVA/stroke management, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgery management preferred \n
- Experience with continuous IV sedation and vasoactive/paralytic drips required \n
- Charge nurse experience preferred \n

- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilated, post-surgical, and multisystem organ dysfunction cases \n
- Facility conducts its own mandatory onsite drug screen including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation \n
- Candidates should avoid all substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products, prior to arrival \n
- Must reside within 110 miles for consideration; local candidates within this radius are not accepted \n
- RTO must be submitted with application \n
- Clinicians must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a plan in place for timely completion \n
