As a Corporate Aircraft A&P Maintenance Specialist at PDS Tech Commercial, your precision and judgment directly influence safety, performance, and reliability for our customers’ fleets.
A Day in the LifeYou’ll open work packages, review engineering drawings, and plan your tasks with minimal supervision. Before lunch you might perform an inspection, troubleshoot a system discrepancy, and document your work in alignment with technical manuals, FAA regulations, and company procedures. In the afternoon, you could weigh an aircraft, install a component, or operate a scissor or boom lift to access a tight spot—then wrap up by updating your time and job records on your PC and tidying your bay to 5S standards.
What You’ll Tackle- Repair, install, inspect, and maintain customer aircraft with limited oversight.
- Interpret and execute tasks from mechanical engineering drawings.
- Perform and record all work in accordance with manuals, FAA requirements, and PDS Tech Commercial standards.
- Support inspections, troubleshoot issues, and repair aircraft components.
- Conduct aircraft weighing operations.
- Operate and care for ground support equipment and industrial vehicles (scissor/boom lifts, forklift).
- Track and maintain your personal hand tools.
- Use basic PC skills to document work and manage time entries.
- Practice 5S and adhere to environmental, health, and safety policies.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
- At least 3 years of experience on corporate aircraft products.
- Working knowledge of aircraft systems across airframe and powerplant.
