Facility Based Crisis RN/LPN

Freedom House Recovery Center is seeking an RN/LPN to work in our Facility Based Crisis unit in Chapel Hill, NC. The ideal candidate will be licensed in North Carolina and have experince working with MH/SUD population. Available shift Full-Time Overnight.

 Specifically:

1. 1. Assists the Medical Director and PMHNP with health screenings and physical exams.
2. 2. Provide nursing screenings, interviews and evaluations in a professional and engaging manner and clearly presenting the information to the medical and treatment team.
3. 3. Provide on-call support to Mobile Crisis Team.
4. 4. Complete the required written documentation within required timeframe
5. 5. Provide medical care in a professional, compassionate and effective manner, and in keeping with established standards.
6. 6. Maintain the security of the medications in the storage and dosing areas.
7. 7. Inspect/oversee integrity of medical area ensuring that it is clean and well-stocked on a daily basis.
8. 8. Provide treatment planning by describing strengths, preferences and needs; and identify treatment goals and strategies for each client assigned.
9. 9. Complete and document the treatment/service plan when the client enters the service.
10. 10. Monitor and document client medications from prescribing physicians both inside and outside of the organization.
11. 11. Work with clinical staff to ensure appropriate documentation of Medicaid clients.
12. 12. Administer and dispense medications and prepare and monitor medication dosages, ensuring that each client receives the proper dosage in a timely manner.
13. 13. Assist with education of topics pertinent to the program. As a presenter is knowledgeable, effective and professional.
14. 14. Provide crisis intervention and referrals in a manner that is prompt, effective and professional.
15. 15. Establish a rapport and provide professional and effective counseling for clients.
