URGENT CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER / PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to provide coverage at urgent care clinics throughout the Richmond area.

Locations Available:
  • Richmond.
  • Midlothian.
  • Glen Allen.

SCHEDULE:
  • Start as soon as credentialed.
  • 3 shifts per week.
  • Clinics are open 7 days a week, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
  • 12-hour shifts or longer depending on patient flow.
  • No call.
  • Outpatient clinic setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan.
  • Perform laceration repair, suturing, and stapling.
  • Perform incision and drainage, including packing.
  • Remove foreign bodies.
  • Treat minor burns and skin conditions.
  • Provide orthopedic injury stabilization, splinting, and casting.
  • Perform joint reductions.
  • Interpret X-rays and EKGs.
  • Perform diagnostic and point-of-care testing.
  • Interpret rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and glucose testing.
  • Manage epistaxis, including nasal packing and cautery.
  • Perform cerumen impaction removal.
  • Administer nebulizer treatments and provide initial emergency stabilization.
  • Recognize higher-acuity conditions and appropriately refer patients to the ED/ER when necessary.
  • Document patient care using Epic.

PATIENT VOLUME:
  • Approximately 25–50 patients per day, depending on location and season.
  • Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Board Certified NP or PA.
  • Active Virginia license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Active DEA.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Primary Care.
  • Strong urgent care and procedural skills.
  • Clean professional background and license history required.

Credentialing: Approximately 60–90 days.
