Large Mechanical Assembly Technician – 1st Shift

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $20/hr

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Large Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position plays an important role in producing high-quality electrical machinery and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical assembly, electrical equipment, sheet metal, hand tools, and large-scale manufacturing equipment. If you take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy hands-on work, and have a strong mechanical aptitude, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general mechanical and sheet metal assembly
  • Assemble electrical machinery, equipment, boards, and related components
  • Read and interpret basic assembly drawings and technical instructions
  • Use hand tools, drills, impact wrenches, ratchets, and other equipment
  • Accurately measure materials and components using a tape measure
  • Safely operate cranes and Skyjack equipment as required
  • Use ladders and work safely at various heights
  • Inspect work to ensure products meet quality and production standards
  • Identify and resolve basic assembly or equipment issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work effectively as part of a team while completing assigned tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as an assembler in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, sheet metal, or electrical equipment preferred
  • Strong understanding of metal properties and machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret basic assembly drawings
  • Proficient with basic hand and power tools
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
  • Comfortable using ladders
  • Experience operating cranes and/or Skyjack equipment preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Ability to work with arms extended above the shoulders
  • Ability to safely climb ladders
  • Ability to perform physically demanding assembly tasks throughout the workday
  • Ability to work safely around large machinery and equipment
