AAC Southwest is expanding, and we are looking for a motivated and engaged individual to join our team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Dallas, TX.  

We are an office-based anesthesia practice that provides a comprehensive peri-operative solution for physicians, surgeons, and dentists, allowing them to perform procedures in their offices. Our anesthesiology team provides the personnel, equipment and supplies necessary to allow our services to be provided within an office setting. We operate during regular business hours, Monday–Friday, with no evenings, Sundays, or holidays required.

What You'll Do. 

  • Start peripheral IVs independently on adult and pediatric patients. 
  • Obtain and document pre-operative vital signs, blood glucose, and other required pre-procedure screening information. 
  • Monitor patients before and after their procedure, and recognize and escalate changes in condition to the anesthesia provider. 
  • Assist with emergency response as directed by the anesthesia provider. 
  • Support room setup, supply readiness, and turnover between cases. 

Schedule: 3 days/week. This role requires travel to different clinical sites in the Dallas Fort-Worth area.

Position Requirements: 

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Pass the NCLEX-VN
  • Experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients preferred.
  • 5 years LVN experience in an acute care setting or similar setting
  • Possesses an excellent command of the English language, medical and scientific terminology.
  • Active BLS certification is required at the time of hire, with the condition that ACLS certification must be successfully completed within six months of employment.
