Shop Help 1st Shift - Full-time / Part-time

Penmac Staffing is hiring a Shop Helper for a local manufacturing client in Springfield, MO. This is a full-time opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment. The Shop Helper plays an important role in supporting production, shipping, material handling, and shop operations while helping maintain an organized and efficient workplace. If you have manufacturing experience, enjoy working with tools, and are comfortable performing a variety of tasks throughout the shift, this could be a great fit for you.Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Experience using hand tools and basic shop equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must wear safety glasses and steel-toe boots at all times

Responsibilities

• Build wooden crates, skids, and shipping pallets for finished products
• Palletize equipment and prepare items for shipment
• Load equipment for shipping and unload incoming raw materials and freight
• Assist with shipping and receiving operations
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
• Grind materials and perform basic finishing tasks as needed
• Gather parts and materials for production jobs
• Maintain product flow throughout the manufacturing floor
• Wash tanks and remove protective film from finished products
• Assist production teams with various shop floor duties
• Help maintain a clean and organized work environment, including dumpster removal
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations

Schedule and Pay

• Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Pay: $18.00 per hour
