The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the DOW Technologies Distribution Center and assisting the Warehouse Manager in maintaining an efficient, organized, safe, and customer-focused warehouse environment.


This position serves as a working lead role with guidance from the Warehouse Manager to provide direction and support to Warehouse Associates while actively participating in warehouse operations. Working with the Warehouse Manager with the monitoring of the warehouse work, the Warehouse Lead helps ensure that customer orders are accurately and timely pulled, checked, packed, posted, and shipped each day, while also supporting receiving, inventory control, warehouse organization, and overall facility operations.


The Warehouse Lead will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Associates, shipping carriers, and other DOW Technologies departments to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently, and that customer and company needs are met. This position is expected to lead by example, promote teamwork, maintain high standards, and help identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and productivity.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Warehouse Operations & Order Fulfillment

  • Provide day-to-day direction and support to Warehouse Associates in  the daily execution of warehouse operations.
  • Help prioritize daily workload and assign tasks to ensure  customer orders and warehouse activities are completed within established timelines.
  • Pull, pick, check, pack, post, and prepare customer orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure outgoing shipments are properly packaged, labeled, documented, and staged for carrier pickup.
  • Process and prepare LTL, parcel, and other outbound shipments according to company procedures.
  • Assist with receiving inbound shipments, including unloading, inspecting, verifying, and properly storing merchandise.
  • Ensure shipping and receiving activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with investigating shipping discrepancies, damaged shipments, shortages, and other warehouse-related issues.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of DOW Technologies' warehouse systems, processes, products, and shipping procedures.
  • Step in and perform warehouse duties as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily operational needs.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory throughout the warehouse.
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and communicate issues to the Warehouse Manager.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead by example by maintaining a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to accuracy and customer service.
  • Train and assist with onboarding new Warehouse Associates on warehouse procedures, equipment, safety requirements, and company  expectations.
  • Monitor work quality and productivity and communicate performance concerns or operational issues to the Warehouse Manager.

Warehouse Organization & Facility Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Assist with warehouse layout, product placement, space utilization, and organization.
  • Ensure aisles, work areas, shipping areas, and receiving areas remain clear and accessible.
  • Monitor the condition of warehouse equipment and report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Assist with maintaining a secure warehouse and protecting company.

Communication & Customer Service

  • Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Manager and other DOW Technologies departments regarding order status, shipping issues, inventory concerns, and operational needs.
  • Communicate with shipping carriers and other vendors as necessary to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and resolve shipping-related issues.
  • Escalate issues that may impact customer service, order accuracy, shipping schedules, or warehouse operations to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude when interacting with employees, vendors, carriers, and customers.




 Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, or related experience preferred.
  • Previous lead, supervisory, or team leadership experience  preferred.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively  s part of a team.
  • Forklift certified or willing and able to become certified.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements described below represent the requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position:

  • You need the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 8–10 hours per day as workload requires.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, and move throughout the warehouse.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment where temperatures may vary.
  • Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull heavy products and pallets, including loads of up to approximately 500 pounds using a pallet jack or other appropriate material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet stackers, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to safely perform repetitive physical activities associated with picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and stocking      merchandise.
  • Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and perform work in a safe manner.


Compensation details: 19.25-19.25 Hourly Wage
