Job Description
$13 - $15 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Delegate housekeeping, security, and service requests, respond to guest inquiries and resolve guest complaints, process reservations and check-ins, and other front desk agent duties as required
- Provide exceptional service to all hotel guests during their stay
- Process additional administrative, bookkeeping. and accounting procedures as required
- Produce and distribute daily weekly, and monthly reports to hotel management, department heads, and general manager
- Audit and reconcile all financial records such as cash drawer activity, credit card transactions, room charges, final bill preparation, and occupancy percentages
Work closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinating requests for maintenance and repair work
Accommodate special requests of guests whenever possible
Assist in preregistration, blocking of rooms for reservations, thoroughly understanding and adhering to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures
Perform financial-related functions like posting charges to guest accounts, raising payouts, currency exchange, and using suggestive selling techniques to offer guests assistance in making superior choices
Be able to work on your feet for a typical shift of 8 hours at a time in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency is required; experience with accounting or reservation software is preferred
- Experience in the hospitality industry or guest services is preferred, but not required
- Flexible overnight hours are required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
Familiarity with hotel front desk, hospitality, administrative, or night audit experience is preferred but not required
PEP system knowledge is a plus, but not required
Flexible schedule
Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours during a typical shift
