Job Title: Cardiovascular Technician – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Days | 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM | 3 Days/Week | 36 Hours/Week | No Weekends
Pay Rate: $2,400 to $2,780 per week (Depending on years of experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technician to support cardiac catheterization procedures, patient monitoring, specialized equipment operation, procedural documentation, and physician support in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment.
Responsibilities
Monitor patient blood pressure and intracardiac pressures during procedures.
Record and maintain accurate procedural data and documentation.
Operate and calibrate Cardiac Cath Lab equipment, including ACT, A-Vox, cardiac output, and power injectors.
Provide physicians with required catheters, wires, balloons, stents, and other procedural equipment.
Set up, operate, and monitor intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
Assist with emergency procedures, including defibrillation, external pacing, and resuscitation.
Prepare procedure rooms and maintain sterile equipment and supplies.
Assist with patient transportation between departments as needed.
Perform equipment maintenance and report malfunctions or supply shortages.
Support the use of advanced Cath Lab technologies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment.
Strong patient monitoring and procedural documentation skills.
Ability to operate and calibrate specialized cardiovascular equipment.
Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
Certification
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification preferred.
