Pathologists' Assistant - Laboratory - VP26-11648

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
Contract: 16 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Pay: $84–$94/hr
Weekends: None
Call: None

Requirements:

• Current New York State PA License or eligible to obtain by start date
• ASCP-PA Certification
• 1+ year Pathologists' Assistant experience
• Hospital clinical laboratory experience
• Epic experience
• Strong grossing and surgical pathology experience
• Frozen section cutting and staining experience
• Experience triaging fresh tissue for lymphoma workups
• Ability to identify glomeruli in renal biopsy cores

Workload:

• Approximately 200 blocks/day
• Heavy breast pathology volume
• Experience with breast, uterus, lung, and colon specimens
• High-volume surgical pathology environment
