Schedule

Enjoy a flexible outpatient schedule with no call responsibilities, overnight shifts, or inpatient duties. Choose the work arrangement that suits your lifestyle:

  • Five 8-hour days
  • Four 10-hour days
  • Three 12-hour days

This hybrid role includes in-person care and telepsychiatry services.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Manage medications for adult and pediatric patients
  • Collaborate with therapists, care coordinators, and primary care providers
  • Provide clinical guidance on complex or high-risk cases
  • Ensure accurate documentation per OMH, FQHC, and regulatory standards

 

Qualifications


Required:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency
  • Active or eligible New York State medical license
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry (certification required within five years if eligible)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Willingness to treat both adult and child/adolescent populations


Preferred:

  • Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Experience in community health or outpatient behavioral health settings
  • Proficiency in Haitian Creole, French, or Spanish
  • Credentialing with New York Medicaid managed care organizations

Loan Repayment Opportunities

As an FQHC in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area, we participate in several federal loan repayment programs. Eligible clinicians may qualify for:

  • HRSA Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) with potential repayment up to $250,000 for a six-year full-time commitment
  • National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility

Participation and award amounts are determined by HRSA and subject to individual eligibility requirements.
