Radiology Technologist (CT/XR) Shift Information
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Minimum Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiology.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a CT/XR training program.
- Current ARRT Certification in Radiography.
- General Certifications: BLS/BCLS.
- Allied Health Certifications: ARRT (R), ARRT (CT).
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for providing comprehensive radiographic examinations of various body parts for diagnostic interpretation. This position requires exercising professional judgment in the performance of procedures while applying principles of radiation protection. The technologist will also maintain patient records and files, ensure departmental quality assurance, and pursue continual professional education.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic medical radiography within designated areas.
- Transfer patients to and from the radiology department.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining high standards in quality assurance practices.
- Participate in ongoing education to enhance professional skills.
- Support departmental cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Rotate shifts as necessary and be available for on-call duties within a 20-minute response time.
- Follow all policies and procedures as outlined by the organization.
- Demonstrate knowledge of patient care appropriate to the age of the population served.
- Engage respectfully with patients and colleagues of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
This position requires adherence to the established Ethics and Compliance Program. The individual will be responsible for detecting, observing, and reporting compliance variances to the immediate supervisor or through the appropriate channels.
