Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with hand therapy experience for a day-shift outpatient rehabilitation position in Stockton, CA.
Details
- Outpatient rehabilitation clinic setting specializing in hand therapy

Requirements
- Active PT license in California required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Continuing education courses preferred
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record systems for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
- Computer skills including typing, Word, and Internet use
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods during 8-10 hour work days
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers and mobility
Additional Information
- Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
- Supervise PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
- Communicate with physicians and other providers to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
- Coordinate with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up
- Make independent decisions regarding patient care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures
- Familiarity with PT billing policy including Medicare, workers comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay preferred
- Proficiency in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing of services
