Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring a CA PT license and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with focus on inpatient rehabilitation
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Epic charting system preferred
- Flexible shift assignments may be required
Requirements
- CA Physical Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
- Hand therapy, lymphedema, manual therapy, wound care, and dry needling experience preferred
- PTA certification preferred
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physical treatment programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore function
- Provides clinical supervision to PT assistants and aides, and may serve as clinical instructor for students
- Coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary team members
- Completes evaluations, plans of care, and documentation per established standards
- Participates in quality improvement processes and maintains a clean, safe working environment
- Maintains strict confidentiality of patient health information
- Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Returning staff must have a separation period of at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- First-time travelers not considered for this role
