Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night-shift assignment requiring ARRT(CT) certification and at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- CT Tech unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes adult acute care, adult and pediatric outpatient, emergency department, and ICU
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule, 4x9.5 hours, Monday-Thursday, 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Candidates will float within the hospital as needed
- Uses Philips equipment
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred, required for ER assignments
Requirements
- ARRT(CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
- Valid state or compact license required, if applicable
- Experience with image display and post processing, including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
- Experience with abdomen and pelvis studies, including with/without contrast, colorectal, enterography, and IVP
- Experience with special procedures including aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, and drainage
- Experience with head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging including trauma cases
- Experience with chest and vascular chest studies, including cardiac calcium scoring and coronary angiography
- Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Must provide copy of Nursys report pulled within 7 days of consideration
- Must provide two professional references from supervisors completed within the last two years
- Must provide proof of COVID vaccination or completed exemption request if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic CT imaging across a wide range of studies including abdominal, pelvic, head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiac imaging
- Administer contrast media and follow radiation safety protocols during procedures
- Work collaboratively within a hospital radiology team supporting adult and pediatric patients
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
- 50-mile radius rule applies for local candidate rate determination
- Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year and in good standing to be considered for return, and cannot be local
