HR Generalist - Now Hiring

Our client, a manufacturing organization, is seeking a Part Time HR Generalist to join their team. As a HR Generalist, you will be part of the HR support team supporting two small, unionized manufacturing facilities working up to 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: HR Generalist 

Location: Cleveland, OH

Pay Range:  $30-$35/hour

What's the Job?

• Provide HR support for two unionized manufacturing facilities, based in Cleveland, travel to Orrville 2-3 times per month
• Manage full-cycle hourly recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing coordination, hiring, and onboarding activities.
• Serve as a primary resource for employee questions related to timekeeping, attendance, payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
• Maintain accurate employee records and process HR transactions using Workday and UKG, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Support labor relations by administering collective bargaining agreement provisions and partnering with leadership on employee relations matters.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
• Experience supporting unionized workforces and working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.
• HRIS proficiency, preferably with Workday and UKG, including employee data management, timekeeping, and payroll support.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and confidentiality standards.
