About this role
Rocky Mountain Distribution Center is hiring full-time Warehouse Associates for our 150,000 sq ft facility in Buford. You'll receive, process, pick, pack, and ship orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a hands-on role with physical demands and shift work. We offer competitive pay, shift differentials, and potential for advancement into supervisor and specialist roles. Starting pay $17.50/hour; up to $21/hour with forklift certification and performance bonuses.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and scan incoming shipments; verify accuracy against documentation
- Pick items from inventory shelves and pallets according to order specifications
- Pack orders correctly and securely; apply labels and prepare for shipment
- Operate warehouse equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks); forklifts for certified operators
- Maintain organized work area and follow safety protocols at all times
- Meet productivity targets and deadlines; work at a quick pace
- Report equipment issues and safety hazards to supervisor immediately
What we're looking for
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable)
- 18 years or older
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly; repetitive bending and reaching
- Able to work fast-paced environment; accuracy and attention to detail
- Willingness to work shift work (day, evening, weekend availability required)
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred qualifications
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience
- Forklift certification (we can provide training)
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Physical demands
This is a physically demanding role. You'll spend most of your shift standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting. Regular lifting of 25–50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. Working in a climate-controlled but non-air-conditioned warehouse. Potential exposure to dust and pollen. Must be able to work safely with equipment.
