We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Commercial Landscaping Project and Operations Manager to join our leadership team in South Plainfield, NJ and drive operational excellence.

Position Overview

The Project and Operations Manager will oversee the execution, logistics, and financial success of our commercial landscaping portfolio. Utilizing Aspire software to manage the business lifecycle, you will seamlessly coordinate labor resources, equipment logistics, and material procurement. You will serve as the critical link between corporate leadership, our field supervisors, and commercial clients to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Aspire Workflow Management: Leverage Aspire to track real-time project progress, manage job routing, review labor hours, and ensure accurate production tracking against estimates.
• Commercial Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate daily and weekly schedules for multiple high-volume commercial crews, optimizing manpower, subcontractors, and heavy equipment allocation.
• Procurement & Vendor Coordination: Manage the purchasing, logistics, and staging of bulk materials, nursery stock, and commercial-grade site amenities to keep projects on timeline.

Financial & Contract Oversight: Monitor job costing and contract milestones to maintain target margins, and efficiently manage commercial change orders and submittals

• Client & Site Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors and commercial clients, attending site meetings and ensuring strict compliance with commercial quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in project management or operations within the commercial landscaping or civil construction industry.
• Software Expertise: Hands-on proficiency with Aspire landscape management software is highly preferred.
• Industry Acumen: Deep understanding of commercial blueprints, grading, drainage, large-scale plant materials, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and command respect from diverse field crews, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the commercial landscape market and vendors throughout New Jersey.
