Position Responsibilities:
Manual & CNC Machining
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related machine‐shop equipment.
- Independently set up, program, and run CNC machines, including creating toolpaths, selecting tooling, and validating machining strategies.
- Create, modify, and maintain fixturing required for machining complex prototype and development components.
Programming & Technical Execution
- Generate CNC programs and machining instructions using CAD/CAM inputs (drawings, sketches, models, or conceptual ideas).
- Troubleshoot machining operations and adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and workholding as needed for quality, accuracy, and safety.
Quality & Documentation
- Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instrumentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document work performed, maintain machining notes, and communicate changes or challenges to engineering partners.
- Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Position Requirements:
- Proven experience as a machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong competency with mills, lathes, and other machine shop equipment; both manual and CNC
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
-Experience inspecting machined parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instrumentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
