Lead Medical Coordinator - RN

Overview Hannah’s Children’s Homes is seeking a dedicated RN Lead Medical Coordinator to oversee the medical department for our foster care and adoption programs, including Transitional and Intensive Services. You will ensure the highest standard of medical care for unaccompanied children (UC) while maintaining strict compliance with ORR, federal, and state mandates.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Supervision: Oversee medical departments across all locations; supervise, train, and conduct performance reviews for Medical Coordinators and Assistants.
• Clinical Oversight: Provide direct medical care, including health screenings, triage, and emergency response. Manage medication administration and tracking (MARs).
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure 100% compliance with ORR, HIPAA, and state health regulations. Conduct daily/weekly audits of UC Binders, the UC Portal, and Extended Reach.
• Coordination & Case Management: Schedule and follow up on all medical/dental/psychological appointments. Collaborate with case management, clinical, and transportation teams.
• Documentation: Maintain secured medical files; submit Significant Incident Reports (SIR) and compliance reports to the UC Portal in a timely manner.
• Policy Development: Create and update departmental policies, templates, and guides; participate in ORR audits and CAP responses.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active RN License (required).
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in the medical field, preferably working with children and families.
• Language: Fully Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data analysis/web portals.
• Flexibility: Ability to handle 24/7 availability expectations as needed per case requirements and travel occasionally to sister facilities.
