Job Description
Operations Analyst I
Contract Position — Possibility to Convert to Permanent
The Operations Analyst gathers, tracks, and analyzes financial and operational/maintenance data, converting it into useful management information.
Responsibilities
• O&M budget performance (actual vs. plan, with variance explanations)
• Annual budget preparation (Hyperion)
• System availability (downtime) tracking
• Employee performance tracking (overtime, days off, etc.)
• Incident tracking (safety, environmental, regulatory, compliance)
• Identifying ways to spend more efficiently
• Assisting in reviewing rate sheets against invoices
• Coordinating the integration of redlines into design services and tracking progress
• Ensuring MOCs (Management of Change) are moving forward for maintenance activities
• Equipment performance tracking (failures)
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for corporate and field management
• Supporting special projects and reports as needed
Qualifications
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (or commensurate work experience) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred
• 1–3 years of financial analysis experience required
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Outlook, and Project required
• Experience in midstream energy (gathering and processing, pipeline, fractionation, or storage) or a related field preferred
• Ability to quickly learn new applications such as Power BI, Oracle, and PI
• Ability to interpret, organize, chart, graph, and present large volumes of data as useful management information
• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
