RDK Software Engineer

Mission: Premium Internet Backup Development

The client is developing a Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) router for a Tier-1 Internet Service Provider in the US. As part of the software development of this product, the following deliverables are expected: LED screen support (UI features and stabilization/log system improvements)
Modem and system log collection and remote access system

• Location : Dallas, TX
• Duration : 1+ year, 40 hours per week
• Experience : At least 3 years of experience with RDK-B
• Must Have : C/C++ programming, embedded application software development, Ethernet, GIT, Jenkins, Jira, Linux, Residential Gateways, RDK-B, Wi-Fi, Yocto

Responsibilities:

• Work with our Marketing team and customers to define product features for NAM clients
• Design technical solutions and implement new functionalities
• Ensure product quality through unit tests, code reviews, etc.
• Investigate and resolve customer-reported and field issues

Skills and Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in RDK-B development for routers/gateways
• Proficiency in C/C++
• Experience with build systems (Yocto, Buildroot, OpenWRT, etc.)
• Strong understanding of network protocols: ARP, IPv4, IPv6, ICMP, TCP, UDP, GRE, DNS, DHCP, IGMP, CWMP/TR69, USP, SNMP
• Experience with WAN and LAN technologies: DOCSIS, 5G/LTE, EPON/GPON, Wi-Fi, Ethernet
• Strong troubleshooting skills (RDK logs, gdb, valgrind, Wireshark, etc.)
• Experience with development environments (GIT, Jira, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools)
• Good communication skills to interface with customers, team members, and internal stakeholders
