About the Role:
TUSK DENTAL SPECIALISTS PC in Falls Church, VA is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our dental practice. If you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and love helping patients feel at ease, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct patients to appropriate staff
- Verify dental insurance benefits and process claims and co-payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office
- Handle billing, invoicing, and end-of-day reconciliation tasks
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy office environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare administration education a plus
- Prior experience in a dental or medical front desk/receptionist role preferred
- Preferable to be familiar with dental practice management software Ortho2
- Preferable to have Knowledge of dental insurance verification and billing processes
