Driver

Job Summary: The driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of steel products to customers from the distribution center. This includes loading and unloading materials, route planning, basic vehicle maintenance, and adherence to all safety and transportation regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely delivery of steel products to customers according to assigned routes.
• Ensure that materials are transported safely and delivered in good condition.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of loaded and delivered products.
• Load and unload steel at origin and destination points using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, etc.).
• Maintain the vehicle in good working condition by performing daily inspections and reporting any mechanical issues.
• Comply with all safety and traffic regulations.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries.

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the steel or construction materials industry.
• Knowledge of local routes and roads.
• Ability to operate loading equipment, such as forklifts.
• Capability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Responsible attitude and commitment to safety.
