About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler to join a fast-paced electronics operation in Sugar Land, TX. In this hands-on position, you will assemble, solder, wire, test, and troubleshoot electronic components and printed circuit boards while maintaining IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with excellent soldering skills, strong attention to detail, and experience reading electronic schematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components and printed circuit boards according to schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform through-hole and surface-mount soldering, including fine-pitch work.
  • Complete wire bonding, cable harness assembly, crimping, and connector installation.
  • Inspect component placement, polarity, wiring, and solder-joint quality.
  • Use multimeters and oscilloscopes to test assemblies and identify electronic faults.
  • Troubleshoot and rework defective assemblies through de-soldering, component replacement, and wiring corrections.
  • Document assembly activities, test results, and completed rework.
  • Follow safety requirements and ESD-safe handling procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production team members to resolve assembly issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Electronic Assembler, PCB Assembler, or similar role.
  • Strong through-hole and surface-mount soldering skills.
  • Experience working with printed circuit boards and electronic components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Experience using multimeters and oscilloscopes for basic testing and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet production schedules.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IPC-A-610 certification or formal electronics assembly training.
  • Technical certificate or vocational training in electronics or electrical assembly.
  • Experience with cable harnesses, crimping, and connector installation.
  • Familiarity with low-volume, high-mix production or prototype builds.
  • Experience working in an ISO-certified or quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
