We partner with employers and workforce organizations throughout California to provide on-site occupational health programs that promote employee health, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety.


Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, dependable Nurse Practitioner to join our growing mobile occupational health team. This position provides pre-placement and occupational medical evaluations for participants entering physically demanding workforce programs. Services are performed at designated client locations throughout Northern California.


This role is ideal for a provider who enjoys independent practice, travel, preventative medicine, and occupational health.


Responsibilities

- Perform standardized occupational medical evaluations and physical examinations.

- Obtain and review comprehensive medical histories.

- Assess an individual's ability to safely perform essential physical job functions.

- Perform focused examinations including:

- Vital signs

- Vision screening

- Hearing screening

- Cardiopulmonary assessment

- Musculoskeletal assessment

- Identify medical conditions requiring additional evaluation or follow-up.

- Determine medical status:

- Medically Cleared

- Cleared with Restrictions

- Temporarily Deferred

- Requires Additional Medical Evaluation

- Accurately document findings using company-approved electronic documentation.

- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of all medical information.

- Educate participants regarding health findings and recommended follow-up care.

- Collaborate with the Medical Director and Occupational Health leadership when needed.

- Travel to multiple client locations throughout assigned regions.


Qualifications Required

- Current California Nurse Practitioner license in good standing

- National Board Certification

- Current BLS Certification

- Excellent assessment and documentation skills

- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities

- Ability to work independently

- Professional communication skills

- Reliable transportation with willingness to travel


Preferred

- Occupational Health experience

- Urgent Care or Primary Care experience

- Experience performing employment or surveillance physicals

- Spirometry, respirator medical evaluations, or hearing conservation experience


Work Environment

- Mobile occupational health setting

- On-site employer and workforce program locations

- Combination of indoor clinical space and field environments

- Moderate travel throughout Northern California
