Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist position in the acute care setting. The role involves assisting physicians with heart catheterization procedures, device implants, and monitoring vitals while charting using electronic systems. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment requiring technical proficiency and adherence to sterile technique.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Shift hours; call 1-2 times per week; every 4th weekend. Late team 1-2 times per week for late procedures. Floating to over units or departments as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via Certification Corporation International (CCI); 0 years of experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience with vascular, coronary, and device implant procedures; experience with electrophysiology (EP) procedures preferred; cross-training as a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT or CRT certifications accepted.
- Additional Information: Assist with procedures such as heart caths, peripherals, pacemakers, ablations; utilize Epic charting system, MacLab, ACIST injector, CSI, Laser, Shockwave, balloon pumps, temporary pacemakers, Impellas, and Carto mapping system; sterile technique essential; unit training and orientation details discussed during interview. Must be willing to work with a team, including late procedures and weekends, with float requirements to other units as needed.
