Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience and ARRT-R or RCIS certification to support a busy cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Uses Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and PACS equipment
- No floating to other units or affiliate hospitals unless otherwise agreed upon at offer
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab and EP specialty
- ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Montana state license required if applicable, and must be applied for immediately upon offer acceptance
- Experience with 1:1 patient ratio
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Proficiency in procedural responsibilities including EKG lead placement, vascular access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and equipment setup
- Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP, Impella, OCT, and pacemaker insertion
- Experience with EP procedures including cardioversion, AICD insertion/programming, and pacemaker insertion
- References required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Maintain sterile technique and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and manage inventory
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius to be eligible for travel rate, and local candidates are not accepted
- RTO must be submitted at time of application
- Former staff members must have a 2-year break in service before returning
- Background checks with license or background hits are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
