Summary: The Shipping Coordinator manages daily warehouse operations by assigning tasks, scheduling outbound shipments with carriers, and reviewing progress reports. They collaborate with warehouse leads, supervisors, and department leaders to ensure accurate order processing and timely deliveries.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 07:30 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $21 to $24 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $56,800 and $73,900 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Schedule outbound orders with truckload carriers
- Coordinate daily equipment capacity needs with LTL carriers
- Direct traffic flow and assign loading dock doors in the warehouse or distribution center
- Allocate workloads to warehouse employees based on priority
- Review daily reports to track on-time shipments and promptly resolve delays
- Provide support and respond to inquiries from sales and other departments
- Handle and resolve operational issues, escalating when necessary
- Manage warehouse operations including will-calls, container loading, and transfers
- Support and enforce MSI’s safety policies in the warehouse
- Perform additional duties as required or requested.
Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) plus years of warehouse experience
- Previous experience as a Shipping Coordinator, including scheduling, carrier coordination, problem-solving, and planning
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
