This contract role offers you the chance to make a real difference as a dedicated Registered Nurse in a school environment, with a flexible, part-time schedule—perfect for those seeking valuable work-life balance. Your commitment will be needed just one day per week (8 hours, 7:35am to 3:15pm), from September 21, 2026, through the end of the school year in June 2027.
Your background as an RN, particularly with school nursing experience, will be highly valued. A Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential is strongly preferred and will help you stand out as an ideal candidate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania
- CSN credential (strongly preferred)
- Previous experience in school health settings or pediatric care
- Solid communication and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Compassionate and professional demeanor
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive healthcare to students, including first aid, routine care, and medication administration
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to promote a healthy and safe school environment
- Maintain accurate student health records and collaborate with parents as needed
- Respond to medical emergencies effectively and efficiently
- Educate students and staff on health management and disease prevention
