Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Canaan, CT 06018 (Route 7 & Grace Way)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay: $23/hr + 10% Shift Differential | W2
Shift: 12-hour shifts – 7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently move palletized products within a distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker equipment.
• Load, unload, put away, replenish, and pick palletized products.
• Use RF scanners and WMS to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain product integrity and support cross-training in other warehouse functions.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of relevant forklift/distribution experience.
• Intermediate experience with high reach or counterbalance forklifts.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
• Basic computer, RF scanner, and warehouse management system skills.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Manhattan WMS experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push/pull, and lift 50+ lbs as required. Must be able to safely operate material handling equipment in a warehouse environment.
