Material Handler 
Spring Lake, MI

Pay rate: $22.00 - $23.00  per hour
Shift: 3rd 11pm-7:05am Sun-Thurs
Temp to hire


What’s a typical day as a Material Handler? You’ll be:
  • Moving freight, stock, and materials to and from storage, production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or forklift.
  • Transferring raw materials, colorants, and packaging to specified storage areas and production lines as needed.
  • Accurately identifying and supplying raw materials to production, building skids, and maintaining inventory control processes.
  • Weighing and documenting materials upon return, supporting housekeeping and 5S programs, and participating in monthly inventory assessments.
  • Communicating regularly with supervisors and support staff, participating in Kaizen events, and seeking value-added activities when time allows.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support continual improvement.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED (required).
  • Bring previous experience in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
  • Can communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
  • Are able to establish priorities, work independently, and meet work standards without direct supervision.
  • Have basic computer skills, including data entry and navigation of internal programs.
  • Are able to meet physical requirements including frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
