Electrophysiology Cardiologist | Southern Oregon

A private cardiology group is seeking a BE/BC Electrophysiology Cardiologist to join a collaborative team of 19 cardiologists and 8 APPs. The position was created because of rapid patient volume growth across a 9-county catchment area of 600,000+ people in Southern Oregon and Northern California.

Opportunity Highlights

• Pure EP focus: About 98% EP, with only 6-7 general cardiology weekend calls per year
• Partnership track: Partnership in as little as 1 year with a 15,000 buy-in, plus future real estate and outpatient lab ownership opportunities
• Volume growth (2023-2026): Pacer/ICD +31%, ablations +41%, Watchman +58% (annualized), office visits +29%
• Schedule: 2 EP lab days and 3 clinic days per week, with room to add lab days as your volume builds. Clinic schedules are adjusted during EP call weeks to accommodate inpatient procedures.
• Support: 1 dedicated EP Physician Assistant, with more APP support planned as volume grows, plus MAs, CCMAs, RN/LPNs, and dedicated scheduling, orders, and administrative staff
• EMR: Epic across inpatient and outpatient settings

EP Capabilities

• Labs: 6 cath labs, including 2 dedicated EP labs, plus a Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) with 2 cath labs and ATRMC with 1 cath lab
• Procedures: Full EP spectrum (pacing, ICDs, ablations, Watchman, device implants), excluding epicardial ablations and lead extractions
• Structural heart and imaging: TAVR, mitral valve-in-valve, Watchman, ASD/PFO closures, a new cardiac MRI program, and 2 hybrid ORs

Call and Quality of Life

• EP call: Monday-Friday, 1 in 4 weeks, rotated equally among electrophysiologists
• General cardiology call: 6-7 weekends per year
• Inpatient support: 24/7 hospitalist service handles night admissions

Compensation & Benefits

Year 1 (Employed)

• 621,000 income guarantee
• 70,000 total sign-on and starting bonus
• 4 weeks vacation plus 1 week paid CME
• Business and CME allowance covering travel, licensure, board fees, subscriptions, and credentialing
