Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This part-time, in-person contract assignment offers the opportunity to work with students in grades K-12 within a welcoming educational setting. Whether you’re an experienced SLP, a clinical fellow, or looking for hands-on pediatric experience, you’ll play a vital role in empowering students to communicate and thrive in their academic journeys.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Active Oregon SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates also considered
- Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in educational or healthcare environments
- Skills in delivering speech and language therapy to diverse student needs
- Comfortable collaborating with school staff and participating in team-based supports
- Teletherapy experience is a plus, but in-person presence on campus is a must for this role
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Role responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments and therapy for students across K-12 settings
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address varied speech and language goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, consult with teaching teams, and provide updates on student progress
- Caseload covers multiple schools; adapt services to meet each student’s unique needs
- Adhere to all school district onboarding requirements, including background and fingerprint screening
This assignment is approximately 20 hours per week for six weeks (pending final dates), perfect for those seeking flexible, short-term contracts within the school year.
