  • Compensation: $17.71 to $24.94 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The role is 100% on-site for the initial three-month contract. Upon permanent conversion, it becomes a hybrid schedule (2 days remote, 3 days on-site). Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Scheduling & Check-In: Coordinate and schedule appointments, consultations, and follow-ups. Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage smooth check-in/check-out workflows.

  • Insurance & Registration: Verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations, collect copays, and accurately update patient demographic and billing information in the EMR.

  • Patient Communication: Handle phone inquiries, manage patient portal messages, and provide clear instructions regarding clinic visits and pre-appointment preparation.

  • Administrative Coordination: Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative colleagues to ensure seamless clinic operations and minimize wait times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, patient access, customer service, or a high-volume medical office environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (Epic experience is a major plus!) and standard office software.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal communication, empathy, active listening, and a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and standard health insurance processes.
