ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise a team of carpenters in the construction and repair of docks, piers, seawalls, and boathouses
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
Oversee the selection and procurement of materials necessary for carpentry projects.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout all phases of work.
Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and provide feedback to team members.
Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
Train and mentor junior carpenters, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting efficiency and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in carpentry or marine construction is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine carpentry or related field.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising a team.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
