Lead Marine Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Marine Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Mobile, AL. As a Lead Marine Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction and repair of docks and marine infrastructure, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety. • Lead and supervise a team of carpenters in the construction and repair of docks, piers, seawalls, and boathouses

• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.

• Oversee the selection and procurement of materials necessary for carpentry projects.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout all phases of work.

• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and provide feedback to team members.

• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.

• Train and mentor junior carpenters, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting efficiency and safety.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in carpentry or marine construction is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine carpentry or related field.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising a team.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
