Key Qualifications:

• Highly qualified status required (must meet one of the following):
  • Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
  • Attain at least 60 college credits (transcripts required; diplomas do not suffice)
• Paraprofessional experience in a school environment is highly desirable
• Ability to work effectively with K-12 students of varying abilities
• Strong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
• A collaborative, supportive attitude essential for helping students succeed
• Resume and highly qualified documentation mandatory for consideration

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans and daily classroom activities
• Provide academic and behavioral support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
• Help monitor student progress and contribute to progress reporting
• Engage positively with staff, students, and families to promote educational goals

Position Details:

• Contract runs from September 8, 2026 to December 7, 2026
• Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM
• After 422 contracted hours, there is potential for direct hire with the district
