Job Details:
Job Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $27.46/hrs. on W2
Shift: 1st Shift (Mon-Fri)
Job Description:
The Gas Welder/Brazer is responsible for building and preparing specialized Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) systems that power aircraft equipment on the ground.
This role combines hands-on assembly with HVAC and brazing work, playing a crucial part in aviation infrastructure worldwide.
Expect a team-oriented setting where technical skills meet continuous improvement.
Your Impact:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Assemble piping, mechanical parts, and electrical components for PCA systems following engineering drawings, blueprints, and detailed instructions
Perform brazing and plumbing tasks to connect HVAC systems and copper assemblies
Set up and perform testing and troubleshooting of built PCA units
Verify work quality and make corrections based on schematics and procedures
Use basic hand tools, power tools, and test equipment as needed
Maintain documentation and complete work order entries in systems like ProPlanner
Support process improvements and training of new team members
Minimum Qualifications:
6 months or more of relevant experience OR high school diploma or equivalent education
Capable of performing brazing tasks or willing to complete company-provided certification training
Familiarity with basic measurement tools and safety procedures
May require the ability to obtain forklift or overhead crane certification depending on assignment
Standout Qualifications:
HVAC Certification or prior experience with mechanical/electrical systems
Experience with ProPlanner or other production tracking systems Associates Degree in Mechanics, Electro-Mechanics, or equivalent.
Top Skills:
Able to read blue prints
Experience w/brazing
Must have hand tools and measing experience.
