Job Description
We are looking for a Patient Registration specialist to support a healthcare team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming experience for patients while managing front-desk and registration activities with accuracy. The person in this role will help coordinate scheduling, maintain organized records, and support insurance and payment processes in a fast-paced medical setting.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and visitors courteously, providing a welcoming first point of contact for the office
• Complete patient intake and registration tasks while ensuring demographic and insurance information is entered accurately
• Coordinate appointment scheduling and assist patients with questions related to visits and registration procedures
• Maintain and update patient files and documentation in accordance with office standards and healthcare privacy practices
• Verify medical insurance details, support claim-related processing, and collect patient payments when needed
• Monitor office supply levels, place replenishment orders, and help keep administrative areas organized
• Use Epic EMR and other office systems to document patient information and support daily front-desk operations
• Carry out additional administrative support duties as assigned to help the team run efficiently
• At least 2 years of experience in patient registration, medical front-desk support, or a similar healthcare administrative role
• Hands-on experience assisting patients in a detail-focused healthcare or clinic environment
• Ability to manage patient scheduling and registration tasks with strong attention to detail
• Working knowledge of medical insurance verification and payment collection processes
• Experience using Athena or Epic EMR or a comparable electronic medical records system
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
• Ability to stay organized, handle multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in a busy setting
