A well-established automotive dealership serving the Clarksburg and Fairmont, West Virginia area is seeking an experienced Fixed Operations Manager to lead and oversee all Service and Parts operations. This executive-level automotive leadership role is responsible for driving profitability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, employee development, and long-term growth across dealership fixed operations.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in automotive dealership management, service department leadership, parts operations, departmental profitability, and strategic planning. Fixed Operations Manager Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership for automotive Service and Parts Departments.
- Drive departmental profitability, revenue growth, expense management, and operational performance.
- Develop and implement fixed operations strategies to increase service traffic, customer retention, and parts sales.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, departmental goals, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Analyze dealership financial statements and operational reports to identify trends and opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Service Managers, Parts Managers, and departmental leadership teams.
- Create accountability standards and performance management systems.
- Evaluate staffing levels, productivity, compensation plans, and organizational structure.
- Oversee customer-pay, warranty, internal repair, and maintenance operations.
- Manage parts inventory control, purchasing strategies, pricing, and inventory profitability.
- Partner with executive leadership to support dealership growth and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements, dealership policies, and industry regulations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize fixed operations performance.
- Monitor CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores and customer experience initiatives.
- Support recruiting, training, retention, and succession planning efforts.
- Serve as a key member of the dealership's senior leadership team.
- 8+ years of progressive automotive dealership management experience preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in Service, Parts, Fixed Operations, or Automotive Operations Management.
- Track record of improving fixed operations profitability and departmental performance.
- Strong understanding of dealership financial statements, KPIs, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience managing automotive service departments and parts operations.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial and operational data.
- Experience with inventory management, expense control, and revenue growth strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to drive change, improve processes, and achieve measurable results.
- Proficiency with Dealership Management Systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office.
