 Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Technician to join a medical device manufacturing operation in Chaska, MN. This position plays an important role in producing high-quality medical devices used to support patient care and healthcare applications.

The ideal candidate is someone who is mechanically inclined, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong commitment to quality, safety, documentation, and following established procedures.

As a Production Technician, you will operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, perform precision assembly and production activities, conduct quality inspections, maintain accurate production records, and ensure all work is completed according to established procedures and quality standards.

What You’ll DoManufacturing Operations

• Operate, monitor, and adjust manufacturing equipment used in medical device production
• Set up equipment and workstations according to established procedures and production requirements
• Perform assembly, production, and processing activities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and production documentation
• Perform equipment changeovers and assist with routine equipment adjustments
• Monitor production processes and identify issues that may affect product quality or production output
• Perform in-process inspections and quality checks throughout production
• Measure and inspect components using appropriate tools and equipment
• Identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor or quality team
• Troubleshoot basic equipment or production issues and escalate more complex problems when necessary
• Maintain production equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
• Follow established procedures for material handling, labeling, packaging, and product identification
• Meet established production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards

Quality & Compliance

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all applicable quality procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to cleanroom or controlled-environment requirements when applicable
• Complete production records, inspection forms, and other required documentation accurately and on time
• Follow established procedures for handling nonconforming materials and products
• Report quality concerns, equipment issues, and process deviations promptly
• Maintain product traceability through accurate documentation and material identification
• Participate in quality and process improvement activities
• Follow company policies and applicable regulatory and safety requirements

Safety & Teamwork

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, maintenance, and other production team members
• Work collaboratively to meet production goals and resolve manufacturing issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or a similar industrial environment preferred
• Medical device, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience operating production or manufacturing equipment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout the production area for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and production components
• Ability to use hands and fingers for precision assembly and equipment operation
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow controlled-environment requirements
• Ability to visually inspect components and finished products for quality and defects

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production environment
• May require work in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing area
• May require use of protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses, and other PPE
• Environment may include machinery, production equipment, and controlled processes
