Prison Site Facilitator

PART-TIME SITE FACILITATOR FOR PRISON EDUCATION – WILMINGTON COLLEGE

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The office of Academic Affairs at Wilmington College in Wilmington, OH invites applications for part-time, hourly site facilitators for prison education to begin as soon as possible. A site facilitator is responsible for being present during class hours (mostly 5-8 pm Monday-Thursday, with limited daytime hours) at Warren Correctional Institution, Lebanon Correctional Institution, and/or Dayton Correctional Institution. The successful applicant will be expected to aid faculty and students in opening the college office and classrooms, putting in student passes, entering student attendance, making copies for faculty, and ensuring that class time runs smoothly. This position is hourly and part time. Number of hours per week and locations is negotiable, based on institutional and applicant need. Additional hours may be available in future semesters. The applicant will need to pass a background check and participate in required training with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction to enter our prison sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and demonstrate a commitment to higher education opportunities for incarcerated individuals.
