Forklift Operator

Job Title: Warehouse Operations – Forklift

Location: Covington, GA 30014

Duration: 12+ months, with potential extension/conversion to full-time based on performance

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr. on W2

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

Job Description

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within the warehouse/plant.
• Use equipment such as conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and powered trucks as required.
• Load, unload, transport, and position materials safely and efficiently.
• Maintain required records and documentation related to material movement.
• Follow established SOPs, quality guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Perform routine warehouse and material-handling tasks with general to limited supervision.
• Work in a metric-driven environment while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, Team Leads, and Supervisors.
• Read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations and use general computer applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of warehouse experience or related experience/training.
• Forklift experience required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, training, or certifications.
• Basic knowledge of material handling, logistics, warehouse operations, or manufacturing processes.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, twisting, and repetitive hand/wrist movements.
• Ability to lift and/or move over 50 lbs.
• Work around moving mechanical equipment, vibration, and moderate to loud noise levels.
• May occasionally work at elevated heights and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Hot conditions during summer months with no air conditioning.
• Cold conditions during winter months with limited heating.
