Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day clinical nutrition care for residents, including assessment, development of nutrition care plans, monitoring, and adjustment of interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and foodservice to ensure nutrition plans align with overall care goals and dietary service operations.
- Support nutrition-related education for residents, families, and healthcare staff; communicate nutrition recommendations clearly across disciplines.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements from The Joint Commission, New York State Department of Health, CMS, and other applicable agencies; document care accurately in patient records.
- Liaise with foodservice staff to ensure menu planning and meal service support the nutrition care plans and quality standards.
- Participate in care coordination across clinical settings as required by assignment needs.

Requirements
- Current Registration as a Dietitian (RD) with active status; licensure or eligibility to practice in New York as applicable.
- Master’s degree in Dietetics or a related field preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Clinical nutrition experience; ability to apply knowledge to a long-term care resident population.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week; travel assignment expectations; no float requirement.
