Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Low Voltage Install Helper to assist experienced technicians with the installation of commercial access control, security, and low-voltage systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic electrical, construction, cabling, or low-voltage experience who wants to develop their skills and build a career in the access control and security industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Technicians with commercial low-voltage installations.
• Pull, route, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling.
• Assist with installation of access control systems, card readers, keypads, electric strikes, maglocks, request-to-exit devices, and door hardware.
• Assist with CCTV/IP cameras, intercoms, gate access systems, barrier arms, and related security equipment.
• Install conduit, raceway, junction boxes, cable supports, and mounting hardware.
• Assist with mounting panels, power supplies, cameras, readers, and other field devices.
• Use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Maintain organized job sites, tools, materials, and company equipment.
• Follow project drawings, wiring diagrams, and instructions from Lead Technicians.
• Assist with system testing and troubleshooting.
• Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures.
• Travel to commercial customer locations and project sites as required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction, electrical, cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
• Ability to pull and terminate cable is highly desirable.
• Experience with Cat5e/Cat6, 18/2, 18/4, 22/6, coax, or other low-voltage cabling is a plus.
• Access control, CCTV, gate operator, or security system experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read basic plans, diagrams, and installation instructions.
• Comfortable working from ladders and lifts.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
