Job Description
Traveling BOM regional assist for the Van Buren, Fort Smith, Eureka Spring and Berryville area, occasionally travel outside of the area,
Key Responsibilities
Serve as an interim Business Office Manager at Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout Arkansas when BOM vacancies or additional support needs arise.
Assist with Ark Medicaid applications and Medicaid Pending accounts, including monitoring applications through resolution.
Provide hands-on training and support to newly hired Business Office Managers.
Assist BOMs with accounts receivable, billing, collections, resident trust accounting, and month-end processes.
Work closely with facility and regional business office director
Manage and assist with front-end collection of A/R balances due from residents while in-house, including communication with residents and responsible parties.
Support back-end collection efforts for outstanding balances following resident discharge.
Monitor Medicaid Pending accounts and work with the state, outside vendors, facilities, residents, and responsible parties to facilitate timely resolution.
Assist with month-end closing of the billing system.
Oversee and support resident trust accounting while ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations and company policies.
Assist with resident trust reconciliations, analysis, and resolution of discrepancies.
Coordinate responses to audit requests and assist facilities with maintaining appropriate documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve business office processes, collections, and overall revenue cycle performance.
Provide additional regional business office support and complete special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility business office setting, including direct experience with billing, collections, accounts receivable, and resident trust accounting.
Minimum of one (1) year of management experience within a Skilled Nursing Facility business office.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Arkansas Medicaid and Medicaid Pending processes are strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of SNF billing, collections, resident trust, and revenue cycle operations.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Ark region and provide on-site facility support as needed.
Must be flexible and comfortable stepping into facilities experiencing vacancies, transitions, or operational challenges.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and training skills.
PointClickCare (PCC) billing system experience preferred.
National Data Care Resident Funds Management System (RFMS) experience preferred.
Compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, Medicaid expertise, skills, and competencies, and may fall outside the range shown.
