Saltera HR is partnering with a leading precision manufacturing company in Tempe to hire an experienced Quality Control Inspector. This individual will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure manufactured components and finished products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable inspecting precision plastic and metal components. Strong blueprint-reading skills, knowledge of GD&T, and experience working within AS9100 and AS9102 quality systems are essential.

Why This Role MattersWhat You’ll Do

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of precision components and assemblies.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, proper orientation, workmanship, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, gauge blocks, thread gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Complete First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
• Review material certifications, inspection documents, and product traceability records.
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain complete quality records.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials through the NCR process.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action activities.
• Ensure parts are properly handled, labeled, stored, and protected throughout the inspection process.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Communicate quality concerns clearly with production, engineering, and management.
• Perform other quality-related responsibilities as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification is preferred.
• At least three years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and dimensional inspection practices.
• Experience working within an AS9100 quality management system.
• Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on experience inspecting precision plastic and metal components.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools; CMM experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and electronic quality documentation.
• Experience with DISCUS, UniPoint, Microsoft Office, or Adobe is a plus.
