Registered Nurse Job Description Location: American School for the Deaf School Registered Nurse - West Hartford, CT The nurse will stay on campus in the student health center. Overnight Staffing 9:30pm-7:30am Overview: Position requires RN to work Overnight to help assist with behaviors and seizures. This is a great opportunity to work with students with special needs. In this role, you will join a renowned school with a warm and collaborative team. Experience Must have 4+ years of Nursing experience; Experience working with behavioral children. PMT helpful, Assessment experience helpful. A background working with children is a plus. Requirements Active and Unencumbered CT RN license. CPR certification Covid Vaccination Must have 4+ years of Nursing experience; Behavioral experience is required. Background working with children is a plus. Physical Requirements: • Ability to respond quickly to medical emergencies. • The ability to lift and carry patients, equipment, and supplies as needed, including lifting objects independently weighing up to 15 pounds and, with assistance, up to 50 pounds. • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during the school day.
