Qualifications:

• Must have LMSW or LCSW

• Must have 3+ years of experience as a Director of Social Services in long-term care

• Must have experience in long-term care

• Must have strong organizational and case management abilities 

• Strong leadership skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities of the Director of Social Work-Nursing Home:

• Plans and directs a comprehensive social services program which provides support services for residents and families.

• Responsible for coordinating all admissions and discharges to ensure facility census is kept at its maximum capacity.

• Participates in an interdisciplinary team approach to better serve the needs of the facility population.
